As Another Type of Contributor

This page contains instructions for connecting a PCO to an event as a contributor other than a donor, participant, or attendee.

Note: For information about editing and deleting your entries, go to Creating & Managing Event Records or Viewing & Managing PCO History.

To connect a PCO to an event as Another Type of Contributor:

  • On the TYR Home screen under Modules, click the People, Companies, Organizations button to open the Manage People, Companies, and Organizations screen.

  • Use one of these methods to select the PCO you want to connect to an event:
    - With the scroll bar on the right side of the center grid, scroll down until you find the row containing the PCO's information, and then click the leftmost cell on that row.
                                                                         OR
    - In the Show field to the left of the center grid, select People or Companies and Organizations, and then in the Last Name field above the center grid, begin typing the letters of the PCO's last name or organization name until the only item appearing in the center grid is the desired PCO, indicating it is selected because the row is highlighted and has an arrow in the leftmost cell.

  • With the desired PCO selected, click the Connect to Event button to the right of the center grid near the top. The Event Connection screen appears, displaying a list of all events in the system.

  • Click the name of the event to select it.

  • In the "Connect as" field, click Other.

  • Click the Proceed button. The Other Contributor screen appears, with the name of the event at the top.

  • In the Other Contributor section, select the type of contributor.

  • In the Date field, type or select the date for this entry. This could be a past, present, or future date.

  • In the Amount/Value field for any selection other than Volunteer in Step 7, enter a monetary value, even if it is 0 (zero).

  • In the required Notes field, enter information to describe this contribution. For example, if a monetary contribution was made electronically, you might want to indicate the source, such as PayPal or Facebook.

  • Click Save. You are returned to the Event Connection screen where a confirmation message appears in the lower left corner.
