The system automatically populates today's date in the date fields so if today's date is correct, you don't need to do anything.
If you need to enter a different date, you can type in the month, day, and year, or you can use TYR's Date Picker. (Note: Typically, the Date Picker will allow you to select the current and past dates only. However, you can select future dates when entering reminders such as those for vaccinations and medical procedures.)
Follow these steps to select a date with the Date Picker:
To select a date in the current month:
Click the Date Picker button at the right side of the date field. A calendar appears, with today's date selected.
Click the date you need. The calendar closes and your selected date appears in the date field.
To select a date in a previous or future month in the current year, use one of these methods:
Click the arrow at the top left of the calendar to move backwards one month at a time,
OR
Click the name of the month and year at the top of the calendar to see the months that have elapsed in the current year. Select the month you need and when the complete calendar for that month appears, select the date you need.
To select a date in a previous or future year:
Click the Date Picker button at the right side of the date field.
Click the name of the month and year at the top of the calendar.
Click the year at the top of the calendar. For past years, the calendar changes to show the current and previous 10 years. (Note: If you click on the range of years at the top of this calendar, you can also select from previous decades. However, it's unlikely you'll ever need to do that.)
Select a year. The calendar changes to show all the months of that year.
Select a month. The calendar changes to show all the days of the selected month in the selected year.
Select the desired date. The calendar closes and the date appears in the date field on your TYR screen.
