This page covers the procedures for adding, editing, and deleting donations using the PCO screen.
Note: You can also enter and manage donations using other screens. Those instructions are covered on another page in this User Guide.
Adding a Donation from the PCO Screen
On the TYR Home screen, click the People, Companies, Organizations button. The Manage People, Companies, and Organizations screen opens, displaying a list of all active PCO records in the system.
To select the PCO who made the donation, use one of these methods:
- With the scroll bar on the right side of the center grid, scroll down until you find the row containing the PCO's information, and then click the leftmost cell on that row. OR - In the Show field to the left of the center grid, select People or Companies and Organizations, and then in the Last Name field above the center grid, begin typing the letters of the PCO's last name or organization name until the only item appearing in the center grid is the desired PCO, indicating it is selected because the row is highlighted and has an arrow in the leftmost cell.
Click the Donate button at the upper right side of the screen. The PCO Donations screen opens, displaying all past donations made by this entity.
Click the Add New Donation button (). The Enter Donation screen opens.
Enter the monetary Amount.(Note: If this is an "In Kind" donation, enter the market value of the goods or services donated.)
If this is a monetary donation made electronically, click to select the "Electronic" checkbox.
If this is an "in kind" donation, click to select the "In Kind" checkbox.
Enter any relevant Notes. For example, if a monetary donation was made electronically, you might want to indicate the source, such as PayPal or Facebook. (Note: If this is an "in kind" donation, justify the market value you entered in Step 6 by describing the goods or services that were donated and the purpose(s) for which they were or will be used.)
Click Save. You are returned to the PCO Donations screen where your entry appears in the center grid, along with a confirmation message in the lower left corner of the screen.
On the TYR Home screen, click the People, Companies, Organizations button. The Manage People, Companies, and Organizations screen opens, displaying a list of all active PCO records in the system.
To select the PCO who made the donation, click the leftmost cell on the row in the center grid containing the PCO's information.
Click the Donate button at the upper right side of the screen. The PCO Donations screen opens, displaying all past donations made by this entity. OR Click the History button () just above the center grid on the right. The PCO History screen opens, displaying all transaction types enacted with this PCO.
On the PCO Donations or PCO History screen, double-click the leftmost cell in the row containing the donation you want to edit. The Enter Donation or Donation Details screen opens, ready for editing.
Make the desired changes and then click Save. You are returned to the PCO Donations or PCO History screen where your changed entry appears in the center grid, along with a confirmation message in the lower left corner of the screen.
On the TYR Home screen, click the People, Companies, Organizations button. The Manage People, Companies, and Organizations screen opens, displaying a list of all active PCO records in the system.
To select the PCO who made the donation, click the leftmost cell on the row in the center grid containing the PCO's information.
Click the Donate button at the upper right side of the screen. The PCO Donations screen opens, displaying all past donations made by this entity. OR Click the History button () just above the center grid on the right. The PCO History screen opens, displaying all transaction types enacted with this PCO.
On the PCO Donations or PCO History screen, select the donation to be deleted by clicking the leftmost cell on the row containing the donation information in the center grid.
Click the Delete button. A confirmation popup appears.
To complete the deletion, click OK. You are returned to the PCO Donations or PCO History screen, where the deleted donation no longer appears in the center grid and a confirmation message appears in the lower left corner of the screen.
